Marik’s Monsters – Reimagined!
Sentence any foe you face to the torment of the Shadow Realm with 10 new “Sun God” cards! The Immortal Sun God focuses Ra’s powers of eternal rebirth into one Quick-Play Spell Card. This card allows you to Summon “The Winged Dragon of Ra” monsters, or discard “Sun God” cards to return The Immortal Sun God back to your hand.
But most important of all, during each player’s End Phase, if The Immortal Sun God was sent to your Graveyard this turn – for ANY reason! – Ra’s powers of rebirth extend to your other “Sun God” monsters, letting you return Helpoemer, Chanter of the Sun God / Makyura, Destructor of the Sun God / Gil Garth, Exterminator of the Sun God / Viser Des Shock, Tormentor of the Sun God from your Graveyard back to your hand. These four diabolical monsters have all been reimagined with powerful effects centered around the “Sun God” Deck theme. And for the final blow, Marik’s most famous monsters of all have returned as Fusion Monsters: The Winged Dragon of Ra, Sun God of Darkness and Lava Golem, Steelcage of the Sun God!
The first ever DIVINE and Divine-Beast Extra Deck monster, The Winged Dragon of Ra, Sun God of Darkness is unaffected by other cards’ effects, and lets you discard “Sun God” cards to eliminate your opponent’s monsters, as a Quick Effect. And since it is both a “Winged Dragon of Ra” card AND a “Sun God” card, it works with other cards that affect either of those monster groups. The strongest part of “Lava Golem” was that you could Tribute your opponent’s monsters to Special Summon it, and Lava Golem, Steelcage of the Sun God keeps up the heat, since two of its Fusion Materials are face-up monsters from anywhere on the field. This Fusion Monster lets you Summon it right out of the Extra Deck without even needing to use “Polymerization”, so its main advantage over the original “Lava Golem” is that you never have to draw anything in order to use it!
