The galaxy is on the brink of civil war.
Separatists threaten the Republic, leading to the assignment of Anakin Skywalker to protect Senator Padmé Amidala, with whom he falls in love. While Anakin guards Padmé, his Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi uncovers a secret clone army on Kamino, created for the Republic using Jango Fett as the template, and follows him to Geonosis where the Separatist droid army is being built by Count Dooku.
