Dan Da Dan follows high school students Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura (nicknamed "Okarun"), who have conflicting beliefs about the supernatural: Momo believes in ghosts but not aliens, while Okarun believes in aliens but not ghosts. They make a bet to prove each other wrong, leading them to encounter both extraterrestrial and spiritual entities, unlocking hidden powers in the process.
