Where the Wild Things Are
First published in 1963, Where the Wild Things Are written and illustrated by Maurice Sendak, features a story of a little boy named Max, who longs to explore where the wild things are after being sent to bed without his supper. His bedroom transforms into a jungle, and before long he's sailing to an island inhabited by Wild Things. They declare him their King and after a playful romp, Max finally departs to return home to a nice, hot supper.
