Product Safety Recall

EB Games has initiated a voluntary recall of our Preowned Xbox and Preowned PlayStation consoles and power cords purchased between 1 September 2024 and 30 October 2025 in Australia.

Why are these products being voluntarily recalled?

EB Games has identified an issue with our electrical test and tag process for Preowned Xbox and Preowned PlayStation consoles and power cords purchased between 1 September 2024 and 30 October 2025 in Australia. This means some units may not have completed the required electrical testing before sale.

While there have been zero reports of electrical or performance issues, and out of an abundance of caution, we’re taking steps to make sure every console meets our safety and quality standards, therefore we have initiated a voluntary recall.

What products are being voluntarily recalled?

As part of our ongoing commitment to quality and safety, we are recalling all units of purchased Preowned Xbox and Preowned PlayStation consoles and power cords between 1 September 2024 and 30 October 2025 and offering a retest, replacement, exchange or refund to customers.

No other products are impacted by this recall.
