Pichu, the Tiny Mouse Pokémon. A pre-evolved form of Pikachu. Despite their size, Pichu release bursts of electricity that can shock even humans. However, Pichu are unskilled at controlling their electricity. The electric sacs on Pichu's cheeks are small. If it tries to store more electricity than they can hold, Pichu can sometimes release it by accident when surprised, or when laughing, and shock themselves. When fully charged, Pichu plays very energetically. Despite this Pokémon's cute appearance, those who want to live with one should prepare to be on the receiving end of its electric jolts.

Pikachu - The mouse pokémon. This pokémon has electricity-storing pouches on its cheeks. These appear to become electrically charged during the night while Pikachu sleeps. It occasionally discharges electricity when it is dozy after waking up. Pikachu can help other Pikachu who are feeling weak by sharing its electric current. Pikachu's tail is sometimes struck by lightning as it raises it to check its surroundings. When several of these Pokémon gather, their electricity could build up and cause lightning storms. Forest dwellers, they are few in number and exceptionally rare. The pouches in their cheeks discharge electricity at their opponents. Pikachu are believed to be highly intelligent.

Raichu, a Mouse Pokémon of the Electric element. Raichu is the evolved form of Pikachu. It can shock with more than 100,000 volts, enough to render a Dragonite unconscious. Raichu's tail functions as a ground and releases electricity into the surface, which keeps it from shocking itself. Scorched patches of ground will be found near this Pokémon's nest. As electricity builds up inside its body, it becomes more aggressive. At such times, even its Trainer has to take care to avoid being attacked. One theory is that the electricity buildup is actually causing stress. This Pokémon exudes a weak electrical charge from all over its body that causes it to take on a slight glow in darkness.
