It occasionally discharges electricity when it is dozy after waking up. Pikachu can help other Pikachu who are feeling weak by sharing its electric current. Pikachu's tail is sometimes struck by lightning as it raises it to check its surroundings. When several of these Pokémon gather, their electricity could build up and cause lightning storms. Forest dwellers, they are few in number and exceptionally rare. The pouches in their cheeks discharge electricity at their opponents. Pikachu are believed to be highly intelligent.
Pichu, the Tiny Mouse Pokémon. A pre-evolved form of Pikachu. Despite their size, Pichu release bursts of electricity that can shock even humans. However, Pichu are unskilled at controlling their electricity. The electric sacs on Pichu's cheeks are small. If it tries to store more electricity than they can hold, Pichu can sometimes release it by accident when surprised, or when laughing, and shock themselves. When fully charged, Pichu plays very energetically. Despite this Pokémon's cute appearance, those who want to live with one should prepare to be on the receiving end of its electric jolts.
